The Gift of Style
Many people do not fully understand the connection between art and fashion. Fashion is a form of art. The only difference between Picasso and Prada is that one masterpiece must be kept in a museum on a wall and the other can be worn publicly for all to see.
This being said, many people are trying to paint a masterpiece without lessons and more importantly without any paint. Certain people are more apt to creating art than others. Many people struggle to create a stick-figure, while a select few can create a fine work of art with little to no effort. The difference between art and fashion is that everyone, by law, must wear clothing at some point in their life (barring the unique situation of birth, life, and death with no job at a nudist colony). Therefore the myth that "I don't need to care about what I wear" is ridiculous.
As I quoted to the lower left, "You are a walking billboard at all times...what are you advertising?". The people who say they "don't care about clothes" have gotten so discouraged with their fashion sense and sense of style that they have accepted the ridicule of others as truth and have created an excuse that says they somehow look a mess on purpose. Friends, this is unnecessary and somewhat psychologically harmful. If I want to be a better basketball player, I must first realize that I am not as good as I think I am. This only happens when I accept what others have told me (people you know and love you; ones who care about you). Secondly, I must seek the advising of a player who is better than I am and consistently utilizes their skills in basketball. I must become equipped as a player. Friends, Fashion is no different. You must seek the help of someone who consistently utilizes their skills in fashion and has an undeniable sense of style.
If you struggle to pick something off of the rack, you will inevitably struggle to choose something out of your closet. A closet lacking essential pieces and personality is an empty pallet. You can have the greatest desire to create a masterpiece, and perhaps even the skills to make it manifest, however without the paint it will never be realized in the physical. This is what we are here for. To give you the skills to create your own masterpieces and the tools to give you the freedom to express your vision fully. Contact us for official consulting inquiries. Happy, productive, and purposeful shopping.

The Forgotten Accessory
What is the one accessory that everyone was born with? That's right boys and girls...it's hair. Hair is the most underrated and forgotten accessory to the average person. Many people choose a hairstyle for a period of time and never consider manipulating it according to the clothing they are wearing for the day. Many styles of clothing suggest a certain hairstyle. If this is taken into consideration you will take your 'walking resume' to a whole new level. A complete look will make people want what you have. Your hairstyle can be the difference between conveying an authentic sense of personal style, and looking like someone else dressed you in the morning and forgot to style your hair. You want to walk the thin line between theme inspired clothing and costume. There is a difference between being inspired by corporate America and looking like you are a secretary for Halloween :) Please stay tuned for pictorial examples of this principle. Happy, productive, and purposeful shopping!
Cost Analysis
Do you find yourself struggling to keep up with the Jones's? Do you turn down quality, stylish items for the more expensive name brand item with lesser style? Well STOP. The reason many people are overly concerned with label and brand is because they lack personal style. These individuals cannot effectively express their personal style, therefore they want the label or brand to make a 'fashion statement' for them that they cannot effectively articulate. This is fundamentally the difference between fashion and style. On a basic level, fashion is what something is and style is how something looks. Personal style is the ability to reflect your individual thumbprint through your clothing and accessories. Ive seen a baggy Ed Hardy shirt worth $90 look worse than a well fitted $2 Hanes v-neck from Walmart.
Style and fit trump label in all areas but quality. What I mean by this is...usually 'you get what you pay for'. Many people err on the other side of the shopping spectrum in this area. Many people will buy 3 cheap items to 'save money' and end up spending more then what they would have spent on a more expensive, quality item that lasted longer. In conclusion, look for style and quality before you look for brand, unless a brand is synonymous with quality. Otherwise you will become a 'slave to name' rather than 'mobile with style'. Happy, productive, purposeful shopping.

Size vs. Fit
Many people are overly concerned with what size their clothing is. To many people, the size printed on their tag says more about them than the way the garment fits their body. This is a shame! In reality, all people are shaped differently and this is the reason that designers make multiple sizes of clothing. The piece is made with the same proportions which means that the piece is intended to fit a certain way on the body. This is liberating! People no longer need to be concerned with what size their clothing is, as much as how their clothing fits. Fit goes a long way in terms of style and presentation. Find the size that fits your body type. Fit does not mean that the piece must be a spandex outline of your naked torso, but rather the garment lays on the body and accents the 'right' places. So friends, if you find yourself being overly concerned with size and you are trying to lose or gain weight to find that 'golden one', STOP. Realize that it doesn't matter what size you wear as much as it matters how the clothing fits your body. Happy, productive, purposeful shopping.
