I believe that one sure-fire method to test one's stylistic prowess is to see how they put together an all black look. Yes, black from head to toe. This would highlight their perception of fit, layering, texture, and personal style. This task forces people to rely on composition skills rather than exciting color to attract attention. I feel that if you cannot reflect your personal style in an all black look, you may want to take more time to cultivate your skills of composition and expression.
